3 Wheel Sizes to choose from

You have are 3 main sizes to choose from: 6.5 in, 8 in and 10 in:

With a smaller hoverboard, it will be easier to carry around because of the size and less weight.

However, the smaller wheel limits the hoverboard to areas with wide, smooth and flat surfaces.

The 10 inch wheel, on the other hand, will give you a smoother ride on different kinds of surfaces, even on rough terrain.

Comparison of the different sizes for the skque hoverboard

If you want to do more cool hoverboard tricks or moves, you should go for the smaller wheel size (6.5 inch). If you want to use it mainly as a transportation tool, the 10 inch will be a better choice.

And you can always pick the 8 inch models, which provide a compromised balance in between.

Battery life - Range

The charging time is 1-2 hours, the battery being very safe, high quality and branded (UL certified).

On average, the Skque Hoverboard can go up to 15 miles on a single charge, with a maximum speed of 7.4 mph.

It’s not the fastest on the market, but the company may have considered the fact that a lot of children and teenagers are using it, so they went for a safer speed for them.

1 year Warranty (US Based company)

The board comes with 1 year limited warranty that covers parts and labor from Skque, a Los Angeles based brand.

The company also gave advice in case you have more questions about their products.

Skque has a working website containing information about the product, warranty, shipping and return policies, and you can also complete an enquiry form online.

Some customers had difficulties with the instructions, but they view it as a minor drawback considering that it’s very simple to figure out how to use it.

Another observation would be in regard to the built-in speakers.

They are great for music lovers, but the other pedestrians might be annoyed, especially if they don’t have the same taste in music.

It takes a considerable amount of time to charge when you compare it to other hoverboards, approximately 2 hours, but these are all very minor complaints.

It’s good to be aware of the pros and cons when you decide to buy a product online, in this case most of the reviewers were happy with their purchase.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does the battery last?

On average (depending on road incline and conditions) maximum distance that can be covered after a full charge is 9.3-12.4 Miles (15-20 Km)

Can someone with very little balance ride the Skque Hoverboard?

Yes, it is very easy to learn, it should take you a few hours tops to fully control

Can you ride it on a Carpet floor?

Yes. It has a lot of power and good traction for streets or inside the house on a carpet, if you have plenty of room.

Swagtron T1 VS Skque, which is best?

So, let's compare two similar self-balancing boards on the market, the Skque from this review, and the Swagtron T1 (full review here)

The Swagtron T1 has been a winner in several “hoverboards competitions”. It’s the first one on the market to be UL 2272 Certified and suited for those who are at the beginning of this adventure, and want to see how a self-balancing electric scooter actually works.

skque vs t1 hoverboards
The T1 has received 4 out of 5 stars on Amazon reviews, same as the Skque board, which makes it a tough competition.

Both have the same carrying capacity, have passed all UL safety regulations, and offer a smooth ride due to the new gyroscopic technology.

Another great thing to look for when you want to buy a hoverboard is the zero-degree turning radius, which is also a common feature of the two.

Where the T1 wins

When it comes to speed, though, the Swagtron T1 is a bit faster, reaching 8 mph.

The battery also charges faster, approximately one hour, and a range of up to 12 miles.

In addition, those just learning to drive the hoverboard can use the learning mode to practice, and if you’re ever in a situation where the battery starts to die while you’re riding, the Safe Stop technology will let you know and automatically slow down, minimizing the risk of falling off at a sudden stop.

Where SKQUE Wins

The good thing about Skque is that they have a wide variety of hoverboards to choose from, this one having three options as well.

The most popular is probably the 10 inch wheel, because it can handle grass, uneven surfaces, bumps and small stones, taking you into places The Swagtron will not be able to.

The Skque has Bluetooth and a remote control that can start and stop it, and the high quality Bluetooth Speakers can play your favourite music from your smartphone as you ride it.

The slightly lower speed of the Skque makes it safer to ride and easier for the beginners to learn on it.

And if you’re looking for more freedom in terms of where you can take your hoverboard, it is recommended to buy one (you can get it directly from their website as well).

Overall Review: Should you buy the Skque Self-balancing scooter?

In conclusion, although it lacks a practice mode, it’s a great product for teens and kids, with a decent price.

But that doesn’t mean it can’t be useful for adults, especially for the various sizes available. You can commute to and from work without need for parking or public transport.

Skque Hoverboard in a parking lot

The Skque is ideal for college campuses, when you are running from class to class.

The fun part definitely needs to be mentioned: city cruising while everybody else is stuck in the traffic, great for urban sightseeing and enhancement of tourist experience, and not ultimately, impressing the girl you like because everybody will be watching you!

The Skque is one of the most stylish hoverboards on the market.

With 10 variety of colors and patterns to choose from, this self-balancing scooter is bound to stick out from the crowd.

Strong and sturdy build, it has Bluetooth speakers, a remote control, and is a hot favorite among customers.

The 10 inch scooter with its large wheels give you more freedom on where you can go. Test your balance by going over rough terrain, make a little obstacle course for yourself by jumping small curbs.

Gold plated SKQUE balancing board

The high quality battery quickly charges, and has a long charge life. These are two things you definitely want if you’re going to ride your hoverboard a lot.

The included remote control is a bonus that makes things a lot easier for you.

Additionally, you can easily buy from the manufacturer or straight from their website. An electric scooter like this is made to take fun to another level!

How are these different from electric skateboards? I have been hearing a lot about hoverboards over the last few years and other than seeing some people use them to get to work in NYC, I don’t really know much about them. Are you able to do tricks on them just like you would an electric skateboard or?

I like that you can actually buy them from the company. So many of these boards online are very iffy. They can be scams or downright junk. I only look for names I know enough on and Skque is one of them. A lot of people read that as Skype and oddly enough that is how I remembered the brand. Great review!
